A folk dance-musical drama film set in the 1990s in the rural town of Sinibaan, Philippines, were it became a tradition to build a scarecrow every time a farmer goes missing. Maura, a farmer's wife, must deal with her grief as she experiences the sudden loss of his husband and search for the truth just as dancing pigeons begin to appear to her – both in her dreams and in reality.
